Administration & Administrative Support Staff

China Grove Middle School is proudly served by the following administrators and administrative support staff:



Mr. Benjamin Crawford has served as principal of China Grove Middle School since the fall of 2014.   Mr. Crawford holds a BA degree in English and history and a MS in School Counseling from the University of Scranton.  Additionally, he holds a MSA from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he was a Principal Fellow.  Mr. Crawford has extensive experience serving as a English teacher, Guidance Counselor, in addition to being an Assistant Principal for several years.  

Assistant Principals: 

Currently China Grove Middle is served by two outstanding assistant principals:

Mr. Jason Rivers is an alumnus of China Grove Middle and has served as a teacher, coach, and assistant principal at several schools in Rowan-Salisbury.  He holds degrees from Appalachian State University and Gardner-Webb University. Mr. Rivers also serves as the Special Education administrator.

Mr. Adam DeLand has worked in many capacities in Rowan-Salisbury Schools including teacher, coach, and assistant principal.  Mr. DeLand holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Oswego and a Master of Arts Degree from Gardner-Webb University.  He has worked previously at North Rowan Middle School and Knox Middle School.  He serves as the bus coordinator at China Grove Middle School.

End of Year Exams including the Reading EOG, Math EOG, Science EOG, and NCFEs in Science and Social Studies will be administered to students starting Wednesday, May 31.  The Math I End of Course (EOC) exam will be administered to Math I classes on Tuesday, June 6.
